Kareena Kapoor And Saif Ali Khan Blessed With Baby Boy ‘Taimur’

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan turned parents to a healthy baby boy on Tuesday morning. The baby has been named Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi. Both mother Kareena and baby are said to be doing fine. In an official statement, the couple announced the birth of their child. The statement addressed to fans and well-wishers also revealed the name they have chosen for him.

The statement read, “We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news about the birth of our son : Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on the 20th of December 2016. We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months, and of course especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all…With love, Saif & Kareena.”

Kareena and baby Taimur have been discharged from the hospital and are back home. The couple has been posing for shutterbugs along with their baby during their return home. In a time when celebrities are over-protective about their children, Saifeena’s openness to media’s scrutiny comes as a surprise.

Soon after the baby’s name was announced, ‘Taimur’ began trending on social media. The discussion around the trend was filled with some very negative political connotations. Apparently not everyone was pleased with the choice of name ‘Taimur’, who was a historical figure reputed for his cruelty.

However, Saif, Kareena, and their entire family is unfazed by the hullabaloo. The close knit family is reported to be overwhelmed with happiness and are busy with their little bundle of joy.

Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor spoke to a leading daily and said, “We are very happy. The baby is fine and so is Kareena. All of us are absolutely delighted.”

We are very happy for the couple and wish them our heartiest congratulations.
