Hina Khan Quits Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

One of Indian television’s most famous faces and popular bahu – Hina Khan has quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the show that took her to great heights of stardom.

After 8 glorious years as the much loved character of Akshara in the hugely successful television soap, Hina Khan’s track is all set to finish as her character will soon die. Rumors of her quitting the show had been floating for quite a while but it is only now that her ouster has been confirmed.

Hina has followed in the tracks of Karan Mehra and Rohan Mehra, who quit the show a few months ago after becoming pivotal characters in the daily soap. In the show, Karan and Rohan played the role of Hina’s husband Naitik and son Naksh, respectively.

The reasons for Hina quitting the show are not clear as some sources suggest that she was feeling insecure about Shivangi Joshi, who plays Hina’s daughter Naira in the show, getting more screen time than her. Hina was apparently unhappy with the way the story was shaping up over the past few months and often threw tantrums on the set due to this.

Hina, however, cleared the air about this perception in an interview with a leading daily.

“A lot of people keep saying that I am insecure and I keep trying to axe my co-actors’ roles, but that’s rubbish! These are kids who are working with me, why would I do that? If I were throwing tantrums, I would not have survived in the show for eight long years,” she said.

It is reported that since audiences are very attached to Hina’s character, so her death on the show is being dealt with care by the writers. Akshara will meet with an accident and the news of her death will be announced.

Speculation is rife with what Hina plans to do next after Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Some sources suggest that she plans to marry her longtime boyfriend and business partner Rocky Jaiswal. We wish her all the best and hope to continue seeing her on the screen.
